Extended Wing Sizes for Under Garage Door Narrow Vent

At times were asked why we have so many options for our Under Garage Door Narrow Vent, when it comes to wing sizing. The simple answer is AirFlow.

Every Under Garage Door Narrow Vent comes with our Standard Wings. These wings close up the sides, and work great for devices such as exhausting Co2 Lasers, appliances/devices up to approx. 4inch hoses.

When someone needs to vent a larger appliances such as a portable air conditioner (ac) unit, that’s where more airflow is needed, and our Extended Wings come into play. These wings work great up to 6in in diameter hoses, and are great for ac units up to approx. 12,000 BTU units.

When a person has a bigger appliance such as a grow tent fan or larger portable ac 14,000 BTU unit, that’s where our Extra Large Wings are needed to get the maximum amount of airflow.

Most users are able to use our Extended Wings for the inflow, and the Extra Large wings for the outflow if they have a duel hose setup.

Being a modular system, you can mix and match wings as your space requires. We always recommend the largest wing you can fit within your space, as you can not have too much airflow.

Please Note: We do not make Front Filters for our Extra Large wings, as we are more focused on getting the maximum amount of airflow, and we’ve found the front filters restrict the airflow too much.

If you are needing to vent a hose with an 8in diameter hose, we recomend splitting the 8in hose into a duel 6in hose system.

We sell an 8in to Duel 6in Hose Splitter to help accomplish this. These are pouplar with Grow Tents, as many of these units use AC Infinity fans with 8in diameter hoses.
