Using an EcoFlow Wave Portable AC/Heater in a Roof Top Tent, while keeping the Wave Outside of Tent

While on a camping trip, I needed a way to vent my EcoFlow Wave from inside my Truck RSI Smart Cap, up to my tent.
I also needed to keep the exhaust which blows out very hot air, outside of the cap, and the standard OEM EcoFlow hoses are just not long enough.

On-top of those requirements, I needed to help keep the rain out of the Cap, so the door needed to be able to be halfway closed, but still allowing enough airflow for the 6in intake.

I designed a 5 Part exhaust system which allowed me to easily add standard 5-in expandable hvoc tubing to the length I needed. In my case it was 8ft sections, however you can custom cut the hose to your needs.

This was tested in Moab UT, and let me tell you, it worked great all night long! Nothing like sleeping in a 74F degree temp when it’s 95F outside!!!

PARTS NEEDED (Works with both the Wave 2 & Wave 3 models)

*We provide hose clamps if all the items below are purchased together.

I was able to keep my Wave mounted inside my RSI SmartCap, keeping it safe from the elements and making camp setup so much quicker!

The rectangle design/lips help hold the ducts in the tent. I ended up moving it closer to the corner to minimize the holes. Worked perfect!

How it looks with everything connected. You can cut the hoses to the length needed for your application. We do not provide the Wave or Hoses in the photo below. They are for reference(example).
