Randy reached out with a question we see quite a bit. How to handle an uneven floor when installing our Under Garage Door Duct. Most garages have a slight taper going from the inside to the driveway, however with settling, or even design in some areas, the driveway/inside concrete do not level out.
A solution to this is to provide an extra board to shim under the duct, and in Randy’s case he just used a thick piece of foam he picked up from the local hardware store.
Randy said the only thing left was to figure out how to close off the top of the garage door. A few solutions to this would be some thick painters plastic from Lowes or Home Depot. Some other options also could be some extra towels, and even for a more permanent solution using a strip of insulation from the hardware store.
We’ve found thick 6mm Plastic from amazon works great at providing a temperature barrier.
